Dual stage gas firing for TEG and fresh air mode for VVF Ltd in Mumbai, India

VVF Limited installs at the oleochemical complex at Taloja a CHP with a Thermic fluid heat recovery unit and a heat recovery steam generator in series. High availability is a central factor in the system design, requiring dual mode operation of both units. A sophisticated diverter system allows the highest operational flexibility of all units.

Technical description
The CHP is provided with two R&V burners, one at the thermic fluid heat recovery unit and one at the heat recovery steam generator. Under normal operation the units are in operation with turbine exhaust gas, but can also be operated with fresh air. The transition between the operation modes is designed to ensure continuous availability of thermic fluid and steam.
